Welcome to myDLE

myDLE is VTDI’s new digital learning environment, designed to support teaching and learning in a clearer, more flexible, and more engaging way. It brings together your courses, learning resources, activities, and assessments in one modern online space.

Whether you are a student, lecturer or administrator, myDLE is designed to make it easier to find what you need, stay organised, and focus on teaching and learning rather than navigation.

The Snap Theme on myDLE

myDLE uses the Snap theme, a modern, responsive Moodle interface developed by Open LMS to make online learning easier and more intuitive for learners and lecturers. Snap focuses on user experience by reducing unnecessary clicks, bringing information to the surface, and presenting content in a clean, logical layout that helps you focus on learning and teaching.

Key Features of Snap

User-friendly navigation
Snap provides a simplified layout with a clear course structure and an easy-to-follow table of contents. Essential course tools such as assignments, feedback, messages, and deadlines are readily accessible from the course dashboard.

Responsive design
The Snap theme works across all devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones. This means you can access your courses and learning activities in Moodle without losing functionality or readability.

Accessibility built in
Snap includes built-in accessibility features that improve the baseline Moodle experience for a wide range of learners. These improvements aim to make the interface easier to use for students with disabilities or additional learning needs.

Course focus and clarity
Content is presented in a single column with minimal distractions. Files, activities, and resources are represented with clear icons and visuals. Favorite courses stay marked across theme changes, helping you keep track of what matters most.

Clean administration and tools
Snap hides unnecessary blocks to reduce clutter while still providing easy access to course administration, personalised menus, and activity creation tools for lecturers.

Accessing myDLE on Mobile Devices

You can also access your Moodle courses on the Open LMS mobile app, which connects directly to the myDLE platform. The app allows you to do a lot, including:
  • Access activities and resources on the go
  • Download content for offline access, then sync when you reconnect
  • Create or submit assignments
  • Participate in forums
  • Get push notifications for announcements, deadlines and feedback

Many features of Snap and Moodle carry through into the mobile app, making teaching and learning more flexible and convenient across different devices. Get the app from the official app stores on your device.
